Adnotationes

Dear readers,
in May of this year the academic community of Sant’Anselmo elected Father Stefano Visintin, OSB, as the new Rector of the Athenaeum. Father Visintin was already a member of the theology faculty and administrative director of Ecclesia orans. The beginning of this new academic year, 2017-2018, is for all of us in the editorial office of Ecclesia orans the opportune moment for wishing him well in his new role. We cannot forget his predecessor, Father Juan Javier Flores Arcas, OSB, who was president of the PIL before taking on the role of Rector for a period of eight years, during which he also supported the progress and various projects of the journal.

Activities of the PIL and of the Editorial Office

Editorial council of Ecclesia orans

As in previous years, the editorial council met on two occasions to discuss the life of the review and of the new collection.

The new collection Ecclesia orans. Ricerche

As already mentioned in the previous issue and in the editorial of this year, the review opened a new path in its mission in the service of liturgical science with a new collection entitled “Ecclesia orans. Ricerche”. After the first volume containing the Acts of the PIL’s 10th International Congress of Liturgy, having the theme “Carmina Laudis: risposta nel tempo all’eterno”, the second, entitled “Naissance et re-naissance. Dynamiques interactives entre l’initiation chrétienne et la réconciliation” of Willy Ngongo-Omatete, addressed the question of inserting reconciliation within the sacramental aspect of Christian Initiation. The volume shall be available in specialised libraries and on the publisher’s website (Aracne: www.aracneeditrice.it) in printed and digital formats.
